I always buy otter box. I love the new widget on the back that can be changed at will. The otter box provides security when holding onto a very slippery iPhone. Accidents happen.

I originally purchased the defender case without the built-in pop socket so that I could put one on that I didn’t see available with this pop defender case. However, the pop socket does not stick to the silicone case (I also clarified this with Otterbox customer service). So I returned that case and ordered this one, picking a pop socket option that I’d be overall happy with. Case looks and feels great but unfortunately I’ve found the kick stand option to be disappointing. Seems iPhone 11 in conjunction with the bulkiness of this case makes it too heavy to prop and so it falls over almost always. I end up having to lean my phone up against things to prop. So, I’m happy I have the protection of this defender and pop socket to use with phone in hand. But disappointed that I don’t have the convenience of the kick stand.

This iPhone cover is perfect for me! I am rough and clumsy so this is what I need to keep my phone from breaking! I wish it was thinner but the cost of avoiding repairs outweighs the inconvenience of the size.

The PopSocket works great while holding it. It does not stand up very well on its own since the Defender case is a bit heavy. I tried a wireless charger and found that the PopSocket can get in the way of laying flat on the charger. Keep that in mind if you plan on using such a charger.
I have dropped in a couple of times which is why I need a case, and the case worked well on a quick weekend trip in which I flew on multiple flights.

Doesn’t work with wireless charging/Pop not stable

The case is still an Otterbox so it is very durable.
However with these new phones they are a lot heavier than previous models, so the Pop tends to fall over under that much weight. Also the Pop is in the way of being able to wirelessly charge. Will not be buying the Pop series again. Not worth the extra $10 compared to the regular defender series
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While using that PopSocket as a stand, we usually suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out then angling one side up. This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. Additionally, we recommend having the camera-side of your phone down and close to the stable surface.
As for wireless charging, we do recommend removing the PopTop for the best charging experience. You will also see some variation in the performances of different chargers.

I purchased this case along with another Defender case minus the pop socket. They are the same exact case but the pop socket sets you back about $20 more. It also doesn’t include the holster. Doesn’t make sense to charge more for the same case when you take the holster out. Otter box is my go to for cases but they really need to consider a price drop on this to the same price as the original defender. I am disappointed for the first time with my purchase from Otter Box...
