This case does offer great protection but is bulky. I was willing to trade bulkiness for convenience of pop socket. Unfortunately, the pop socket will not let iphone 11 stand in portrait mode and wants to tip over in landscape mode. So using it as a stand is useless. I would have been better off buying my own case and positioning my own pop socket so it worked correctly as a stand for watching movies, etc...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry for any frustration with your Otter + Pop Defender Series case! If you're using that PopTop as a stand, we usually suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out, then pushing down one side. This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. If that doesn't help, give us a call at 1-855-688-7269, and we can get you some additional troubleshooting tips.

I love outterbox I've been buying them since day one I always recommend them to everyone that has A phone that they want to protect You can play soccer with the cases lol. Sad to say shortly after I got the case someone stole my daughter's phone so I will be ordering a new one

This box is always a hit at my house. It’s the only box that protects my phone year after year. The pop is new to me. I don’t use it much, but the disappointment and reason I added it was for the prop position. That sucks. Adds nothing to it’s purpose. My phone just flips right back into natural position. I’ll buy again but minus the pop.

I love it. I got the new iPhone and decided to try a clear case so I can enjoy the purple color of the phone but all the cases I chose were slippery so I went back to the defender series cause I feel safe with the rubber outer shell. I love the pop socket so I have a more secure hold on the phone and it doesn’t feel so heavy and it’s steadier when taking a picture. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it won’t stay propped up when I lay the phone on its side. If the pop socket was centered it probably would. It also won’t charge on my wireless charger which doesn’t bother me to much but it might with someone else

I've been using this for a little over a month and i will say that it does feel nice in your hands and very tough as you would expect.
However when it comes to the pop socket portion it does leave much to be desired, for example it does not work as a stand for your phone (unlike what you expect) I guess the socket is positioned in such a way that it cant hold up the phone.
Also it wont work with the mount sold by popsockets, first the case pushes against it and the socket opens up, then on top of that the socket is positioned to the bottom of the case so the phone flips upside down.
these are just the two biggest problems i have with the case. Now with that being said, i still like the case and this was not enough to make me return it, but i am a little disappointed to say the least.

The case will protect your phone but I was looking for a case with a stand and the “pop” does not do the trick. I cannot use it to prop up the phone - which I presumed was the primary function. I am disappointed.
