I have tried all types of phone cases: loose, too heavy, don't protect. With Otterbox Defender Pro, the phone is in a perfectly fitted, snug cradle surrounded by a rubber sheath to protect against shock. Perfection!

I recently broke the screen on my old S20, the first screen i ever broke......Anyway, I had taken my old Otterbox Defender off of it for a more stylish one from another maker. So, I immediately went and got an upgrade to the new S24 Ultra and told them to make it bulletproof. I love the new Defender, the only beef, I wish they had the blaze orange and camo colors like a long time ago.

I'm rough with phones, so I've gotten this style of case for my cell phones since they've been available and I've never been let down. I've never once had a broken screen or any other significant damage even after dropping them on concrete and pavement numerous times. This one seems to be just as good as the others have been. In the past, my only complaint has been that the flap over the charging port breaks off after a couple of years, but they're as good as their word on warranties and they've replaced them when that happens. The nonslip surface makes it great for placing on slightly inclined surfaces. Plus, I love the purple/lavender color option with this one. It's decidedly feminine and doesn't make it look like the industrial strength case that it is.

The charging port cover warps the edge of the case when opened. This wouldn't occur if the orientation wasn't reversed from previous versions. This is going to cause the case to prematurely wear out, decreasing the value of the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
