I bought this case for my new iPhone 12 max. I have owned other OtterBox cases in the past (Defender) but I went with something new this time. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I like the built in pop-socket & that I can swap the tops out. It is very sturdy and protects my phone well. I've unfortunately dropped my phone a few times but because of the case, my phone is safe!
I would recommend this to a friend!

socket is too weak, pro max won't stay upright

Very Disappointed, They need to go back to the drawing table and engineer a pop socket strong enough to hold the weight and size of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This one won't stand up the phone, even fully extended and tilted to camera side down. Major Fail.

I love the popsocket otterbox cases BUT

This one is awful. I got the clear because I have a great blue colored phone I wanted to see. This case has turned yellow around the outer edge and looks disgusting. I would never get a clear one again.

Turns yellow

I have not had this case for a year and it’s turning yellow. It looks awful. I will say it has protected my phone well, but the clear changing to yellow makes this case not worth it.

I purchased 2 the clear stardust and a pink one both with the pop sockets. I read some reviews where people were unhappy with the functionality of the pop socket, but I have no problem using mine or holding mine! It doesn’t work for holding your phone up but I don’t use mine for that. I can slide my fingers under it to hole it and I have larger fingers so I’m not sure why other people complained that. Over all I’m happy as always with my Otterbox purchases, my phone feels safe and I enjoy both cases, they both look great on my midnight blue phone or whatever the color is!

Not really liking the position of the POP Socket on the iPhone 12 Pro Max! the phone is top heavy so, you can't really use any POP Socket holder without the phone wanting to "lean" forward. It can also be difficult to hold. Love the thought of the design, just hate the position.

Doesn’t perform as advertised

Will not wireless charge using brand new Apple MagSafe charger and brand new apply 20w adapter as recommended, removing pop socket as otterbox keeps suggesting does not solve issue. The popsocket does not support phone even when tilted to one side with camera lens side down as otterbox suggests. It fits the phone extremely tightly, is very difficult to remove and would likely damage phone if you tried to take the case off regularly to charge it. Sure it’s a tight fit and sparkly pretty, but the whole point of it beyond being a protective box is the wireless charging capability and popsocket functionality-misses the mark entirely, I expect better from this company especially at this price point.

Do you wonder why our phone comes in pretty colors and then we just cover it with a phone case? Well worth this case you can see the pretty phone and as sparkles to boot. The case is clear and while others do complain about it not standing on its side, it’s no differ than cases before. It’s our fault for buying the largest phone available. What do you expect?
