I almost always have a watch on. I like the look of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic a bit more than the 6 Classic. I now own and use both. My watch 6 is all blacked out where my watch 8 has a very different look with the stainless steel. It’s nice having different watch looks. Enjoy both.
I got the watch yesterday and yes the screen is smaller but overall the watch is fast and feels of great quality and the ai features are great and personally the design is good if you have a 6 classic stay with it but if you don't and want a classic go for the 8 classic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you miss the rotating bezel, well, you're in for a treat, it's back again, baby? And better than ever, the galaxy eight classic watch is truly a sight to behold. It is so quick so responsive and has so many features.I'm learning something new every day. From it. All of the data seems extremely accurate. And on point, and so far, i'm very happy with it. The bluetooth connection is solid and I don't notice any disconnects. The only thing I could see them having to work on would be battery life. And making the device thinner and lighter other than that, this is a great product. And I am glad I bought it. Galaxy a I makes this device even better and is very impressive.I just hope they don't start charging for it.
I really don't like anything about this watch over my 6 classic. Battery life is pretty much identical. The squared outer shell is a terrible design choice and definitely looks bad compared side by side to the 6. The new watch band release mechanism is the worst on any watch I have ever had in my life. The release buttons are atrocious and the connector feels very cheap and unsecure. The only areas where there seems to be any improvement is the GPS and the wifi connection. The 6 classic will constantly shut off wifi to save battery which was always super annoying and this seems to have solved that issue finally. Other than those 2 it is a downgrade in every way
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from Samsung USBy R&R Team, July 28, 2025
Aloha Gideeup6, Thank you for sharing your experience with using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic with us. We appreciate your feedback as we improve the functionality and design of our product line. The Galaxy Watch8 Classic offers a faster Exynos processor and increased storage, new health sensor capabilities, and a brighter display, though it comes with a slightly smaller screen than your previous device and a new band-release system. It is frustrating when your Samsung smart watch strap or band falls off unexpectedly. The good news is this usually only happens if the band or strap is not installed properly, or when wearing the watch improperly, which are both easy to fix. However, the band or strap should be replaced if it's damaged, will not stay attached to your watch, or keeps falling off. Feel free to check out, "Samsung smart watch strap or band falls off" to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing with your watch band. If you have any questions for us afterward or if you would like any further assistance, please feel free to contact Samsung Support at your earliest convenience. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this device for a little while now, and I'm still getting used to all of the features and how to incorporate it more efficiently in the daily routing. I am also getting used to the Galaxy AI to speed up task that would normally require navigating through your phone a bit to do it manually.
The only issue I am currently having is the Samsung Pay and Wallet, but this might be on the Credit Union side and I am currently working with them to get the token and registration issue sorted out
