Good basic hearing aid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ceretone Nexus OTC hearing aids are reasonably priced for the quality. In the box you will find two hearing aids color coded to show left from right. A compact hard case for storage and protection. Four sets of assorted ear tips, sizes, small, medium, and large to find your perfect fit for comfort. Two zinc a13 disposable batteries which are not rechargeable. The batteries are supposed to last approximately 100 to 200 hours of use, depending on settings and amount of daily use. A cleaning brush, quick start guide, tips, booklet, and video QR code are also included. There are six volume levels and four programs (normal, crust, restaurant, outdoor, and music). They know being FDA registered. However, I checked into this wording and it does not mean the FDA checked or approved the hearing aids for safety or quality. It simply means the company registered them with the FDA.
Strengths: these hearing aids are so comfortable. I can wear them all day and not really notice them. When in a quiet room, watching television, or just with a few people, the hearing aids and sound quality are quite good. The price is also very good for the quality and what you receive with the hearing aids. These are specifically designed for those with mild to moderate hearing loss. I have moderate hearing loss and can say in most environments they are effective.
Considerations: there is no on-off button, just volume up and down buttons which also switch the hearing programs. Closing the battery door turns on the device and opening the door turns it off. To not drain the batteries, you have to remember to open the door when you're not using them. While the four programs are nice, I found these hearing aids to have more squealing – whistling even when trying different earbuds and programs. They say there is enhanced noise cancellation, reducing background noise for Superior listening Clarity and while that may be accurate in quieter locations, very loud environments can cause background noise to be greatly amplified, even distorted, making it hard to pick out voices and is sometimes even uncomfortable. Like most OTC aids, they amplify everything which can also make it difficult to determine who is speaking when in a loud room. A few times I noticed my voice seemed quite loud or even hollow.
Overall, these are a solid hearing aid at an affordable price and I would not hesitate to recommend them as long as the individual was aware of the strengths, that they are meant for mild to moderate hearing loss, and aware of the considerations I noted previously.

Helped with my hearing loss but compared to prescription ones they are some what limited

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall these battery operated behind the ear hearing aids did support my hearing loss journey with its handy travel/storage container, multi-sized ear tip comfort attachments as well as 1 set of batteries to trial the hearing aids. It also includes a cleaning tool and a handy quick start guide. Overall I could hear more clearly but the feedback “squeak” from the devices was somewhat frustrating anytime I put my hand near my ear or went in for a hug with someone but in general most hearing aids give that feedback noise. The volume levels were not able to be adjusted as high or low (I have severe hearing loss in one ear and moderate in the other) to work well for the different levels of loss in each ear. I could not turn one down low enough to be comfortable in loud settings. I had to just remove it. In general they are quite comfortable to wear in the ear but having to deal with constantly replacing batteries is costly and annoying to maintain.

Amplifies sound

I could not tell you how long the battery lasts. I put them in a safe place and couldn't remember where I put them, so no media.
I find the behind the ear fit very comfortable. These sounded good. Still had some trouble with feedback even though I tried changing the progam several times. The Nexus is more of an amplifier. I had some trouble understanding words.

Great sound Quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything you need to get started is included in the box. Once you put in the batteries, you are on your way to better hearing. The sound is very clear and they are extremely comfortable to wear. The quick quide perfectly explains how to put in the battery and adjust the volume and modes like restaurant, outdoor, music and normal mode. The quide also suggest starting off slowly and building up the time you wear the aids to get used to them. I've developed moderate hearing loss and it's so nice to hear everything you've been missing. I really like them and they are now a part of my daily routine

I love that I can adjust the volume and change the places to adjust the noise levels just by touching. No need to remove them first. I can hear so clearly now.
