I bought this blendtec in 2012 and man what a blender… I has been used a lot and it never disappoints…. I had to replace a wild side container but after 10 years and thousands of uses…. I will not complain….. hope this helps make u a blendtec buyer….

Toxic smell fo days after burnout

300 blends and one day with 20 seconds of smoothie cycle left the bottom of the cap which covers the drive shaft was filled with smoke. The shaft almost melted into the cap and the blade inside cap got unscrewed. Everything was insanely hot even after cold water rinsing. The gasket and drive shaft design simply cannot last long enough to justify the cost of this blender. Another American dream failed victim of aggressive marketing and profit taking.
Not durable enough to justify the cost. Personally, I could pay 30% more if I have the assurance that product can last 10 years.

8 year sand still going strong!

I have a lot of food allergies so I have to make my own food. Mine has been used over 1,000 times and it’s still running as good as day one.
I did have to get a new pitcher but they replaced it for free.
One of the best financial decisions I’ve ever made was investing on this blender!

We just love our Blendtec. We spent a while doing a lot of research before purchasing this brand, and I am glad we did. We have the "twister" jar and are having a lot of fun making smoothies. I've also experimented with grinding up nuts and dried coconut and in both cases, the blender turned the nuts and the dried coconut to an excellent fine powder. It's relatively easy to clean - we just rinse the jar and top in warm water after each blend. In particular, my teenager is having a blast making smoothie recipes and has become inspired to buy ingredients and try new foods. Highly recommend this is a great blender for families.
