I think we purchased our current blendtec in 2011. I purchased a new one to have when our current one stops working. The base has a large crack in the plastic but it hasn’t affected the functions. I prefer the labels on our old one to the icons on the new one.Haven’t read the booklet as yet. It’s just as loud which I hoped had changed. It doesn’t appear much else has changed. It could be months more before the new one is needed. We shall wait and see!

It’s powerful and dependable. I blend kale, dandelion greens, beets, pineapple, celery, apples, dates, etc and the Blendtec handles it all like no other blender could. I blend almost daily and have done so for about 7 years.

It does the job….but not as well as my 15-20 year old Blendtec. My old one would liquify an apple! This one leaves tiny bits of peel. The cycles for smoothie are longer and not as effective. It leaves blackberry seeds and bits of cacao nips. There is no on/off button. Maybe you have to buy a different model? I use my blender every day and miss my old workhorse.

Expected better considering how expensive. I have to say it makes the smoothest smoothies I’ve ever had from my previous two blenders! However, it makes so much that I can’t just have a single serving like I want so I have to use a different blender which is annoying to do and even though I follow the “loading” instructions, I have to stop and scrape the sides every time because it’s always getting stuck. I don’t write reviews but I felt compelled to write this so others have all the facts and know what to buy or avoid.
