My wife was pretty sceptical when I told her that I wanted a $350.00 blender. That was about a month and a half ago. Yesterday she told me that she is so glad that I bought it. She absolutely loves it and the smoothies and things we've been making together. She has lost 10 lbs. No joke. Me...well I eat like a slob at work so not so much. Blendtec rules!

I bought this blender to replace a Blendtec that I had for 10 years before it finally gave out. I use it to make smoothies with ice 3 or 4 times a day. Before I bought my first Blendtec, the blenders that I was using only lasted 6-12 months. This new Blendtec has a great jar that I really like. It blends much better than the old one and cleans up easier.

I received my Blendtec blender over a month ago and have not been disappointed. I did a lot of research vs. their main competitor and I feel I bought the best one. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Perfect size for under the counter. My only complaint is that it's a bit loud but overall I give it 5 stars.

I bought this 7 weeks ago - and I've used it 140 times (it gives you a read out of how many cycles it has done). That's an incredible 20 times a week. I thought I'd use it but never thought I'd use it that much.
I'm a convert to green smoothies for breakfast and feel great on it. The recipe book is good and there is an enormous variety of smoothie recipes available online.
I've made soup, brownies, power snacks, ice cream and it's a great way to make yorkshire pudding and pancake batter. This weekend I'm going to try pizza base.
This item was so worth every penny.

I have had this for less than a month and so far I have made the quickest pea soup taking 5 mins including prep time. We have enjoyed making smoothies/whole juices. So easy to use and clean. I have got rid of lots of gadgets that I no longer need in my cupboards. Easily fits in my cupboard. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Powerful blender, has some limitations

I purchased this blender about a month ago from Costco in order to make smoothies and homemade ice cream. So far it has excelled at both of these functions. I typically freeze my fruits and vegetables in advance, and the blender is able to easily blend these into a smooth consistency. One feature that it lacks that would be very helpful is a tamper. I know that the Vitamix models have this, and read that with the Wildside Jar this isn't needed, but I still have fruits and ice that get stuck at the top. I then need to shake the jar or stop blending and use a spoon to press the ingredients down. All in all, not too inconvenient, but still a bit of a hassle.
One other thing I've noticed is that the plastic insert into the lid can come loose rather easily when blending tough things, and has spilled contents onto my counter on two occasions. Again, not a huge hassle, but I am worried about this connection further loosening with time.
Overall, I am satisfied with this blender, especially with the lower cost. I would be interested in a jar with a damper if they release one, but I am unsure this will happen. I give this blender four stars.
