I've used it for everything! Smoothies, cake batter, hummus, turning grains and seeds into flour, almond milk, soup, etc. It's been excellent for the last 4 1/2 years. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is because my motor is starting to sound a bit high pitched, if that makes any sense. Other than that concern, I love my Blendtec

Did extensive research on the top blenders and decided that with the extras offered through Costco, this was the way to go.
Couldn't be happier. The results are as excellent as one would expect. Further my husband who isn't a big veggie eater loves the smoothie's.
The noise is not bad and I have it on a shelve liner. And, it fits under my 1973 (i.e. low) built cabinets.

Blender is very well built. Design is thoughtful and materials used are very high quality. Worth the high price. Would love to have smoothie jars if Blendtec sells it. There were minor issues though like the edges of the rubber jar cover will rubbed and bruised a little right out of the box. The underneath has some plastic/ bruised on one of its leg out of the box but it doesn't affect the functionality. So I never returned/exchanged it. I got it from Costco.

This is my first real high powered blender and was a bit skeptical that it would work as good as they claim. I was interested in making my own nut milks and hummus, along with many other things as I went along. The milks and hummus come out beautiful and I'm well pleased at the performance. I have also made nut dressings and they came out perfect. I would highly recommend this powerhouse of a blender.

I got a blendtec for Christmas last year and really enjoyed using it! I was using it to grind wheat one day and the blades got stuck and tore up the part of my blendtec. Since i bought it from Costco, I just took it back and bought a new one again from Costco. And this time bought the white one instead of the black. It is so pretty! I am not going to use it to grind wheat anymore. I don't want to damage it. I have a separate wheat grinder so there isn't a reason I have to grind wheat with my blendtec.
