Hubby bought this as a Christmas present after I had broken two blenders in the past year. We make one to two smoothies a day for our family. We love we can just throw chunks of food washed and it is blended into a smooth texture. Wish we had spent the money in this the first time around.

I've had my blender for a few months now. I mainly make smoothies with it but trying to venture out with all the amazing recipes the book has. I also bought the small twister jar and it's helpful for smaller portions and nut butters. Only downside really is how loud it is. Tough to make a smoothie in the morning and not wake up anyone.

Having had it less than a month I have returned it after it burnt the rubber washer whilst running on speed 9. Quite scarey. It ruined my dough that was in the jug. The jug then leaked. Not good!! Prior to that I was loving its versatility but it is very expensive so should be much more robust. Another issue is that the recipe book is written for the US market. If you're asking UK buyers to part with £400 for a blender, the least you should do is offer a British recipe book with britsh measures!

I chastised my husband for buying such an expensive blender, but we use it practically everyday and have gotten our money's worth. We make protein shakes, soups, baby food, as a chopper for nits...really so many uses for it.

I was given this blender as a gift this past Christmas. I've been doing my research for some time and decided that Blendtec was the brand for me. Before this I'd had a vintage Oster blender that worked surprisingly well for it's age and how often I used it.
I've been using my Blendtec blender for daily green smoothies, and they're the smoothest they've ever been. I also used it to make avocado margaritas, and was astounded when the ice crushed down to a fine snow-like consistency. I used the smaller jar for making some cashew cream with turned out fantastic! This blender really performs. The only cons are that it is startlingly loud - my cat who is usually unphased by other kitchen appliances flees the room every morning. The "Smoothie" mode button just keeps ramping up the speed until the 12 ounce smoothie is all over the jar walls and lid base, so I feel like I'm making a bigger mess than necessary. I'm also used to the locking base on many blenders, which I was surprised this one did not have.
Overall I'm really happy with this blender - it's super versatile and I can tell it will last for years to come!
