After watching demonstration of a Blendtec and its main competitor I went ahead and purchase a Ninja,because their info said its is just as good as Blendtec, but at less than half the price,dont' believe the hype, I had to put it aside and buy a Blendtec, believe the hype, its by far superior to the Ninja, it is being used 3 to 4 times per week.

I bought this about 6 weeks ago from COSTCO. I asked Blendtec Customer Service if the Costco model is an inferior model but they failed to answer so I guess the answer is YES. The COSTCO model is powerful but after using the raw Vegi cycle then the frappe cycle this model overheats and advises same. I asked CS why but no response. I assume I have purchased n inferior model. I therefore recommend others do not buy from COSTCO FO this reason. Good luck consumers.

The Classic 570 is a 3.0 PHP (peak horsepower) motor, which is the same as many of our models. The main difference between the Classic 570 and other models is what cycle options are available and what the base mold is made from. The Classic 570 can still blend and perform as any Blendtec blender, it really just comes down to preference.
If you experience the blender overheating the ingredients, there may be an issue we would want to correct. Please call customer service at 1-800-748-5400 so they can help determine if this is the case and help with a warranty claim if necessary.

ive had the tall regular ninia for three years and hated it. Saw this at costco and they made strawberry smooties and this machine pulverized the seeds. that's what sold me. The ninja leaves food chunky and seedy. I always had to strain my smoothies through a strainer. Not anymore!!!
