I have used Blendtec for about 15 years and loved it. Our old one recently died, and so we bought the same blender and it started to burn up on the first use. I sent it back for an ostensibly new motor, and they sent it back to me with a purportedly new motor. I'd been making exactly the same smoothie every morning for years in our old blender, and attempted exactly the same thing with this new one in which the motor began to burn up. I attempted exactly the same thing in the blender with the ostensible new motor and it immediately stopped and the message "overload" popped up and it has stopped working. This is a piece of junk. I've given up on this brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hot soup warped the container

The blender says it can blend hot soup— blender container ended up warped, now lid doesn’t fit and all blending spills everywhere. Not an ideal product.

We've had the Classic now for 13 years. The count use was just over 2400 so about 185 blends a year or once every other day of pretty hard core blending using the wildside. (Kale, frozen cherries, frozen beats, frozen blueberries, granola, oatmilk & honey) That's the routine. It's just now starting to weaken. Outstanding purchase, highly recommend!

Love this blender!! I have been saving for months because my mom had this brand while I was growing up. My brother cannot eat by mouth so we have to grind his food to put in a tube for him to eat. It was amazing then and mine is just as amazing now. You can definitely smell the motor just like it says you will the first few times of use. But we haven’t had any problems with it and I am completely in love with this product. We use it for smoothies every morning and it blends them so smooth!! There are no chunks at all.

I love this blender! Super powerful, not too heavy, short stature mkes it easy to store. So much better than my previous blender from Vxxxxxx. Oh, and the color is a lovely dark red, very sophisticated.

Love these blenders

We have had ours now for almost 20 years I think. We have had to take advantage of the 8 year warranty a couple times but WOW, do they take good care of you. I am always shocked how easy and helpful they are when it comes to customer service. We use this blender almost every single day and it works perfect every time. Highly recommended.
