This is our second Blendtec and we LOVE it. Our first one lasted for10 years and clocked about 2200 uses. It is SO easy to clean! We believe there is no better and recommend it frequently to others.

great blender when it worked

I bought the blender a few months ago and it does not work at all anymore, just says overload. I have reached out, so hoping they can fix it. I only changed from my old blender (for 20 years) as I kept nicking my finger on the broken glass jar, so I was hoping for something a bit more sturdy again...
I did however like it the first few weeks it worked.

We’ve not had good luck so far - it makes this awful howling sound like something is horribly wrong, and overheats and shuts down very easily while making even the most basic smoothies. Will likely return and go back to our Vitamix.

My husband and I started making green smoothies every morning about eight years ago. The first blender we bought was a Blendtec. The second blender was another brand, and the third. We went back to the Blendtec because it blends far superior to other brands. We'll never use another blender brand. We love Blendtec!!

Not what I’ve come to expect!

This is our second Blendtec blender. The first blender had over 2000 blends on it when we decided to gift it to a friend and update to a newer model. Well we were one day past our 2yr warranty on the updated one and the motor decided to burn up. It only had 900 blends on it. The only good thing is Blendtec is honoring the 2yr warranty. There is obviously a huge difference in quality between the first generation blender motors, and the more recent versions.
The other quality issue I have seen is with the wild side blender jar. I’ve had two replacements over the two years because of bearing failure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it almost set my house on fire!

After 5 years today it almost set my house on fire! I was lucky to be close to turn it off. The smoke was so thick that filled the house in a few seconds. It is not acceptable to buy an expensive product like this and have a life hazard!
