I wanted a durable reasonable cost smoothie maker. After trying the NINJA three different time, I decided to go Blendtec... thus far, I am very pleased with its performance and how it makes smoothies as well as other food products. I even belnded almonds... it worked. You will be very pleased with it and the best part for me, if it lasts it's warranty , it is all worth it, if it does not, I just get a new one at no cost.
