I had seen this blender before and always thought it was expensive. Recently just got tired of drinking my veggie smoothies with that coarse texture you get from a regular blender and decided to give Blendtec a try. Let me tell you, you just have to taste these really smooth drinks, I even like the flavor now. We have been using it every day, now even the kids get their mini smoothies as well and like them, yes, the veggie ones too.
We have also made peanut butter, “nutella” with real hazelnuts and chocolate and some flours directly from the seeds and nuts in less than 5 minutes each.
On top of that, I just love how easy it is to clean. 10 seconds running with soapy water, rinsing and drying and you are ready for the next batch.
Totally worth it. Kudos to the designer of this unit.

A few years ago, I bought a blender that was very expensive. It was supposed to be the best blender on the market. I was so disappointed because of air pockets and constantly stopping. I love the smooth flow of Blendtec. Plus it was half the price.

I got tired of paying $4 for a mocha frap at Starbucks, but my cheap home blender wasn't up for the job of making them. The ice burned out the motor in about 6 months. I bought this blender as a replacement and it has held up well now for 2 months. I like the one button feature for making these types of drinks. Overall, the icons are a bit confusing and the description doesn't seem to fit what they can do, and I could stand more manual controls, but I'm still glad I purchased it. The self clean function is very handy, as well.
