I've always dreamed of owning a high performance blender, but had trepidation about dropping a few hundred dollars on an appliance. For years I suffered through cheap blender after cheap blender, cursing when my smoothies would "freeze up" and refuse to blend. Robyn Openshaw is my hero so based on her recommendation I purchased my blendtec. We are detoxing and losing weight by consuming so much veggies and fruit it would be impossible to chew! Very happy with my purchase. A friend of mine recommended this for my style of cooking. I tried Ninja looking at similar specs. There is so much difference in the way Blendtec blends food. Food taste better and amazing blending even for South Indian pulse blending.
Only wish this came along with small smoothie jar as well. I can buy that separately, but given blender is on expensive side, additional $$$ is not something I am ready for.
