This is my second Blendtec. My first finally gave out after 10 years. As a former Vitamix owner, I appreciate the Blendtec for its ease in blending without having to taper everything down. I also like that this blender sits on my counter, under the cup board, with room to spare. I give a 4-star to this newer design. I found that the "smoothie" function did not blend as well as my former using that same function. I use frozen fruit. This Classic model offers simple features. There is nothing complicated about it. Thumbs up!

I've wanted a nice blender for a long time. I'd considered purchasing another brand of blender used by restaurants but after reading many reviews of that item I became discouraged. Some reviewers mentioned Blendtec so I checked into it. After thoughtful consideration I made my purchase and I'm completely pleased with it. I also like the warranty. If a company is willing to warrant it's product for 8 years that's a big selling factor.
When I make smoothies, all of the ingredients are thoroughly blended, nothing to chew, no bits of pulp, seeds etc. I use it to pulverize dog kibble to make treats for my pets, it does grinds to a fine grain. This blender saves me money because I can make specialty frozen drinks.
I like the height which fits under my upper kitchen cupboards and the square design of the container as it's very easy to extract contents and easy of cleaning. I haven't used it yet to make any of the recipes in the included book but will when time allows. It is loud when blending but that is to be expected because of the power needed to blend items such as ice.

We got this blender for Christmas and we have not regretted it. It makes the smoothest smoothies as well as batters and more. We started a new diet after the first of the year and it calls for blender use in many of its recipes. I'm so glad we had invested in the Blendtech.

I purchased the blendtec through Amazon after taking back a Nutribullet that was awful!! The blendtec is GREAT! It fits under my counter, I use it several times a week. I don't know if it is powerful enough to make nut butters, but it is great with smoothies, soups, and blending mixes. I wish I bought a more powerful model but was trying to keep within my budget.
