I purchased this blender in 2017. Within 6 months, had to order another one. Blendtec sent a reconditioned version which may have been worse than the first. The model was the Classic Black 570. Could not make a smoothie without smelling like something was burning and I was following their recipe book to a tee. Wish I would have had a better experience, as I have heard good things about this brand.

The Jars are horrible

I was super excited to get a Blendtec a few years back, but that excitement has faded to disappointment. I could have a Vitamix and two ninjas for what I have paid for this and replacement jars. Everyone I know that owns one, and I mean everyone has the same issue with the the jar locking up and splattering gooey bits of rubber everywhere. I gave it two stars because it blends like a champ, until it destroys itself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I finally decided to get a high powered blender. When I made my first smoothie, and took the first sip—WOW! I was so amazed by the smoothness. I like the settings and that I don’t have to guess how long to blend. Finally, a blender to keep for a long, long time I hope.

It’s only been a month but the comfort I have in knowing I’ve taken the plunge and purchased something of such good quality makes me happy. We are a household that makes at least three smoothies a day and we purchase new blenders often so it just made sense to get one that can handle the load. My 6yr old loves that I can just make a snow cone any day of the week in a few secs.
