I am partial to those cheap swivel head steel peelers available everywhere, but which I noticed a few years are no longer consistent in sharpness, angle of blade, nor swivel range. So, although paying more than a dollar for a vegetable peeler seemed ridiculous to me, I decided to buy the Deluxe Vegetable Peeler from Rada because I was so happy with the knives I had recently purchased from them. I am so glad I made the upgrade! This peeler is medical tool sharp, rotates gently, is light in the hand but substantial, and peels effortlessly with minimal pressure. It removes citrus zest without the pith, peels a ripe tomato without tearing it, and glides through tougher coating like root vegetable peels with ease. This is hands down the best peeler I have ever owned, so much so that I am already looking for a service that will sharpen it many uses from now when it finally gets dull!
