As some of the others have stated Black Silk has changed and not for the better. I thought that I had gotten a mislabeled can, but realized the next time I bought coffee that it had changed.
At the store I noticed Black Silk now says "roastmaster series" and it was a lighter coffee. back at the store I went thru and bought the NON roastmaster series.. Fix it or forget it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for reaching out! We can assure our Black Silk Roast is still the same coffee you know and love, and has not changed. We simply updated the labeling to reflect that Black Silk is part of our Roast Master Series, meaning it is a premium blend, perfect for various brewing methods. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused, and hope you continue to enjoy our products.
I sense changes to Black Silk recently, and some of them are: Black Silk doesn't seem to be as Aromatic as usual, the Appearance is different in Texture and Color, And It Not As POTENT!! And I find it very difficult, if not very near impossible, for me to drink coffee that is IMPOTENT!!! Of course I still drink it and like it. I have to add a few more of the black crystal powder to my pot. So, if there was some trial experiment in effect for awhile, I (We), hope it has ended and the canisters of that exercise will exit circulation REAL SOON.
I came on this site to let Folgers know there was a mix up on the label. Black Silk was placed on the Classic by accident. Then I read all the reviews, maybe not a mix up? I still think a mistake has occurred. Please tell me I am right or I will need to find another coffee.
