Was looking for somewhere to find out what's gone wrong w/Back Silk ... which I've loved for years. I gather it's NOT my imagination ... with so many others perceiving the same weakening.
I thought maybe there was something else going on after reading the reviews . BUT after changing the water, the filter brand , adding more to the ratio, and then 2 (two) different coffemakers, (second one this month) this is not the same as last years. Last year batch got 5 stars
I don't know what's happened to Black Silk, but I agree with the other reviews - something has definitely changed. It is weak and even the grounds aren't as dark as they used to be. Folgers, whatever you changed has ruined the coffee I've been drinking for many years. Bring back the BLACK in black silk!
I agree with a previous reviewer. Something has changed with Black Silk its not as good as it was in the beginning.

While we can assure you we have not reformulated our Folgers® Black Silk, we thank you for bringing to our attention that you have noticed something different. We would love to learn more about your experience and have reached out via email to see how we can help! We hope to hear from you soon!
I’m a loyal Folgers Classic Roast customer, I bought the small 10oz can of this coffee which is good cause it isn’t my favorite. If you like Classic Roast stay with it as I will be. I find this actually has less flavor than Classic Roast. I don’t know if the roasting cooks out aroma or if this one has less Robusta beans but it’s not for me. Btw I think a lot of us would like to see the metal tin Folgers can make a comeback. Coffee just tastes better out of a tin can. Really locks in the flavor. Classic Roast > Black Silk
I have been drinking Folgers Black Silk for years. It was a smooth yet bold. Now it is so weak. I have even tried the strong brew on my keruig. No luck. I just want it to be like it was.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
