My love for Black Silk

I have been drinking Folgers Black silk coffee for years unfortunately everywhere I go to purchase it the price has risen so much I can no longer afford it like I used to. I have reduced my coffee consumption to one cup a day.

NOT THE ORIGINAL FLAVOR!

I always Drank "Jet Fuel" and they took it off the market, so I switch to Folgers Black Silk Dark Roast which was great until several months ago, it lost its robust flavor. I am on automatic ordering; but I am going to stop my deliveries...this is not the Folgers I used to drink (THUMBS DOWN)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than Starbucks smooth and bold not bitter

My daughter’s favorite coffee, she told me “even better than Starbucks or Tim Hortons .my husband is a huge coffee fan and drinker, takes it black. I’m a one mug in the morning girl with a splash of cream. I have stayed away from dark roast because of my stomach issues. Well, we both have fallen in love with this flavor of coffee after a week or so, so flavorful and smooth. Not bitter at all! My daughter was right, I’ll pass the Starbucks and come home to my own cup of coffee from now on!

I purchased this brand a few days ago and do not regret it one bit excellent quality and a smooth taste I feel like a zombie when I do not have my morning coffee. I would like to try other flavors

Folgers Black Silk has TANKED??!!

What has happened??? I’m picky about my coffee and fortunately years ago discovered Black Silk. This was after subscribing to coffee clubs, buying gourmet coffees in specialty stores etc and then my mom told me to try black silk. It became my favorite, which was so awesome because I could simply get it at my grocery store and the price has always been great especially given the quality of the product. It’s always been the perfect balance of bold, dark, smooth and chocolatety. My coworker and I talked about this one day and found that we both had a very similar coffee journey and both agreed hands down this is the best coffee out there (for our taste). We both have Bunn coffee makers and have had many conversations about how much we have become dependent on this great coffee and how nothing else compares.
But lately…. I have noticed very disappointing cups of coffee. I thought maybe I got a bad batch. I got another container. Still not good. Thought maybe I just need to clean my coffee maker. Nope. Something is wrong. The last 3 containers I’ve bought have been bad. I thought maybe it was just me but my coworker and I talked about this last week and found she was feeling the exact same thing!!! For a while now! We both googled “what is wrong with Black silk?!” And haven’t found an answer. My coworker said she saw where it’s not 100% arabica beans anymore? Is that what happened? If so did Folgers think they can lower the quality like this and people wouldn’t notice?? I know there’s “shrinkflation” everywhere with everything and prices are continuously going up, but I’ll pay it for good coffee, if it’s the same quality. And pray it eventually goes back to normal again.
Lately I’ve been having to buy other brands and I have 3 bags of opened coffee that I just don’t like nearly as well and I’m depressed. I want my old Black Silk back! Please tell me what has happened!!
