So I’ve had my printer for a month now and I already had to replace the ink cartridges. The printer is slower than I would like but all in all it’s not that bad of a printer.
Printer seems well built and usually produces quality printed pages. Gray text is a problem though. The dithering pattern used to create gray text makes the edges of the characters fuzzy. Gray text does not look sharp. Other brands of printers do a much better job with gray text. Duplexing is an issue for me also. Duplex printing slows the printer down significantly; fewer pages per minute.
The print quality is great and love the double sided printing. I don't like that I have to open the back panel to print labels and envelopes and then have to close it again. Also the envelopes wrinkle when they print and I haven't been able to resolve that issue.
Still adjusting I believe. We really needed a copier/printer but management appears to want to keep this. In my humble opinion, it isnt very quick and when I put an envelope in to print, it wrinkles it all up and I need to be quick to grab it and undo the flap or it seals. Just the other day I put 4 checks in to print from Quickbooks and it jammed ruining 2 of the checks. Can you tell me if
