Nothing but trouble and money spent

Both the fridge and freezer don't defrost. They both freeze up on the inside to the point where you can see ice all at the back behind the pull out bins. We have had the thermostat replaced, which didn't fix the problem. We have had the mother boards replaced with new and found out they had been now discontinued due to "Cancer and Reproductive Harm - Prop 65 WARNING(S)". It's been only 4 months since the motherboard was replaced that was supposed to solve our problem. The same problem is back, the fridge is not cooling because it is completely frozen at the back. It has been suggested that I buy a new fridge but they are pair that stand side by side. It is too costly to replace both units right now. Wish I had spent the extra money in the beginning and bought a better set of another brand. We also lost all the food both in the fridge and freezer as they both were too frozen inside to keep either unit cool or cold enough for the food while we were away on vacation.
We have had to manually defrost both the fridge and freezer by emptying and using a hairdryer. I am unbelieveable frustrated with My Whirlpool Sidekicks Fridge and Freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd. replacement Side Kick Freezer. I am also on my 2nd. replacement refrigerator. When I got the 3rd. new freezer they changed the handle again and now I have to replace the refrigerator that is working again because the handles are so different and I could not take the handle from the broken freezer and put it on the refrigerator because the holes do not line up. I have no choice but to stay with these units because they are built in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
