Have had to buy 2 in the last 10 years... freon leaks in all cases... more expensive to fix than replace...very disappointed. Built in cabinets, so we are now looking to replace the cabinets to allow us to use standard size appliances. the second unit lasted 19 months and even if whirlpool warranty stipulates that it cover all internal sealed pieces like compressor evaporator and such for 2/5 years depending on the model they tell me this model is not cover

Noisy but keeps constant temperature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compressor noise is quite loud. Didn't have much choice of the model because of space limitations. Surprised that Whirlpool would sell an appliance that runs like this. It does keep a good constant temperature, which is most important, so we are living with the noise.

Whirlpool sidekicks - wasted space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the sidekick refrigerator and freezer when parts were no longer available for the Whirlpool sidekicks we purchased in 2008. Obviously planned obsolescence. Could not even get new ones in white. That having been said, the new ones seem to work okay so far. However the internal door shelving design is terrible. Units come with a limited number of door shelves. We ordered additional shelves only to find out that the spacing is terrible. Absolutely no way to add more shelves. Much wasted space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product showed up very well packaged. Plugged it in and put it to work immediately. Love the fast freeze option, freezes what ever with in a couple hours. Also love how everything stays frost free!
