I bought this at first as teacher gifts. I got a great deal when I bought three so I bought one for myself. I have been able to use it at work almost every day since it arrived in the mail. I bought three of the lunch crocks since it was a great price. Then I took the time to read the reviews and became worried since most people only used the lunch crock to warm up leftovers or a can of soup which wouldn't interest me at all. I decided to pre-cook meat, put it in portion-size plastic bags and freeze it. The night before work, I put the meat I want in the lunch crock, add whatever fresh or frozen vegetables I have in the house, add some liquid (a little or a lot depending on the consistency I want), maybe some bouillon or broth, some seasonings, maybe grated cheese and maybe a handful of Chinese noodles. I plug in the crock when I get to work and I have a fresh-tasting meal (not leftovers!) everyday for lunch.

I love the way food tastes when re-heated in the crock pot. It tastes just the way it does when you first cook it. Microwaving food ruins food texture and taste.
One problem is that the metal rim that the removable container sits on gets very hot. You have to be very careful when removing it so that you don't get burned.

I received 3 nice cute crockpot warmers. would have loved to gotten different colors but only color available was red. nice.
only problem I have is leakage once the food is in the inner bowl and the lid is put on and then the outer cover screwed on of the crockpot.

I used my Lunch Crock for the first time today. Filled it with leftover rice, grilled fish, and green beans. I plugged it in about 8:30 and at 11:00 it was warmed beautifully. I was worried about the rice being dry because I did not add extra water, but it was perfect. A quick rinse was all it took to have it cleaned to take home:)
