I received this as a gift and was excited as it is a handy appliance. I used it twice to heat up soup, and once to serve a hot appetizer. Cleanup was easy bc you can pull out the food container. But when I went to use it today, it does not work- so disappointed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have only used this 4 times in 2 years and it will no longer turn on. I have did the reset of unplugging for 20-30 minutes and plugging back in and nothing. I even waited 24 hours and still nothing. This is ridiculous to only be able to use a handful of times. AndI keep it stored in the box when not in use so no rough handling.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Donnie! Thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re very sorry to hear that your Crock-Pot® Lunch Crock® Food Warmer is no longer turning on.
We understand how frustrating this must be, especially since the unit has had very limited use and was properly stored.
For troubleshooting, you may also try: 1. Plugging the unit into a different wall outlet (to rule out outlet issues) 2. Ensuring the power cord is fully and securely connected 3. Checking for any visible damage or debris in the plug connection area

I absolutely love this product. I can put my leftovers in this put the lid on and take it to work with out it spilling. The lid stays on tight. Then it heats my lunch up perfectly and even. It only takes 1 hour from fridge to heat up. It is also easy to clean. I have had it for about 4 months and use it atleast 3 times a week.
We were thinking ,as most of us here at the office have one, that you need to make it available for purchase the inter pot and lid the lid should be clear so you can make up extra meals and store them and you can just grab and go. other than that we love it.
I live the crockpot, but there are no replacement inner pots available. When I asked on their site about this, I got a reply with a link to a set of replacement part vendors and directions telling to me to just enter the model number. I went and found the model number and the. Did this at the various replacement part vendors. And there is no replacement liner. Why did you send me this email?!? So.... I agree with some others that the lid can be tricky. I loosen mine and also release the plug (pull it up) before heating, and also try to remove the inner lid before I take it out of the main unit. As others have found, don't use the swinging handle for leverage or it may break. It doesn't co.e with a lot of directions, so this is what I found works for me. If you leave the lid tight and the plug down, it will build pressure and pop. (Luckily my second lid was on but everyone in the office heard it). If you just pull the plug, it won't pop, but you'll never get the inner lid off. It's a very good item, but the design could def use tweaking and since they're obviously making inner pots, why not offer them for sale so if you're making 2 meals at work, you don't have to carry one in a different container and wash the liner between meals?!? That's just common sense. I'm not buying 2 main units, so you've lost out on income. Not sure how that's a great strategy.

Hello Lara,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your detailed feedback on our Lunch Crock® Food Warmer. We are pleased to hear that you are enjoying the lunch warmer overall, but we are very sorry for the frustration you experienced while trying to find a replacement food container. We understand how disappointing it must have been to follow the link provided, search by model number, and then discover that the liner was not available. That is not the experience we want for our customers, and we apologize for the confusion.
We also appreciate you sharing the tips you have learned about using the lid safely. While we are glad you found a method that works, we agree that the design should feel more intuitive and should not require trial and error.
Your suggestion about offering additional food containers is valuable, and we will share it with the appropriate team for further evaluation.
If you need any assistance or you have more feedback, please feel free to reach out via the 'Contact Us' form on our official website. We are available Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time.
When you don't like to use a microwave or do not have one available, this is an excellent solution. It heats in the convenient short amount of time that it states in the manual. Also, it heats just to the point where you need to blow your food a little bit to take a bite. It holds the right amount of food. It is light weight, but sits still while using. The first lid removes so easily, with just one twist. The lid on the metal bowl screws on and off easily as well. The feature I like the most is that the bowl lifts out of the base. It can be washed separate from the base, eliminating the worry of getting water in the mechanical part for the plug. Another favorite feature is that if I did not get the chance to eat (being a school teacher), I can unplug it and it will stay warm until I do. Otherwise, I take it home in the bowl to save for another day. I have even needed to leave work while it was hot. All I had to do is unplug it, pick the whole unit up with the handle, and place it in my cart. I had no issues; it did not leak and the heat did not mess up other items in my cart. Additionally, the plug is not flimsy. It pushes right into the base. For a person who is a little OCD like myself, I love that it is on the side and not the back. It's great not having to turn it around to the back to plug and unplug it, especially when it is pretty warm to the touch. Lastly, the base can stay at work while I prep a meal in the bowl to save time in the mornings. This is the reason I am taking the time to write a review, I want to get more bowls and lids so I can prep multiple meals on the weekends. I'm hopeful the company will make them available separate from having to buy the whole base to get more. I hope these details will give you the confidence that your purchase will perfectly fit your wants and needs. This is absolutely a 5 star product!
Love this little crockpot, it warms up food to a good temperature and it the perfect size for work lunch. My only wish is that it would be nice to have the ability to buy extra inserts and lids so that it would be easier for everyday use as I don't run my dishwasher everyday. Handwashing isn't terrible it just would be that little bit more convenient if I could have three insert pots and lids.
It worked for less than a week. I loved it for 3 days. Day 4, it stopped working. The power is on, but there is no heat—such a bummer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
