I just used this little unit for the first time and after one use, the lid on the container doesn't seal well anymore, so things spill if not kept leveled, when I first got it the lid sealed nice and tight to the insert and now no seal at all
I bought these during a sale as Christmas gifts. I tried mine out before gifting the others in case I wasn't happy with their performance. LOVE IT! I work in a school and the microwaves are always busy at lunch and not always clean. I can heat refrigerated foods to eating temps in about 30 minutes. It takes longer if they are frozen. I have plugged it in first thing in the morning and the food wasn't dried out a couple hours later. 30 minutes to an hour are just about perfect. The lids are not liquid tight and the grey inner lid will become warped and not fit snugly. The simple solution for that is to let it soak in the hot soapy water before you wash and rinse it. Then set a full coffee cup, or something else with some weight to it, on top of it while it dries/cools. I leave the base a work and bring the insert in my lunch bag.
I have had my small crockpot for a month or so and I love it to reheat my lunch at work. I no longer use a microwave. I much prefer using my crockpot. It gets leftovers hot and keeps them hot even if I have to walk away from my desk. I felt like it was a little expensive, but it is worth the money.
Absolutely love this little crock pot warmer! Whenever I want a lunch that needs to be warmed, all I have to do is place it I. The crock pot and plug it in. It’s warm by the time lunch time! No waiting in line foreveryone at work to use the one microwave. A lot of my coworkers loved it too and purchased some too!
I love this product...it is the second I've owned. I prefer a hot lunch to a sandwich, and this allows me to bring leftovers like stew, Mac and cheese, chili, chicken and rice, pulled pork, and heat it up without the poison of microwaves. It's also a great way to heat up a can of soup. I just plug it in 30 minutes before I plan to eat. I am very happy to see my new crock has a guard where the plug is attached....that was the undoing of my last one...it split, frayed and blew out a breaker at work, much to the hilarity of all. So thanks for making a great product even better!
I am a crock pot nut! My husband bought 4 of these so he and I, and our children could take healthy meals on the go! My kids have stopped carrying it as the lids don't stay tight and everything leaks all over their school books. I bring it only when I think it won't leak. It's a shame, because it works perfect. I am a teacher, and with only one microwave and a faculty room 5 miles away...it is the perfect thing, but I can't have it leak all over my papers either! :-)
