I bought three on Cyber Monday and wish I would have ordered more. Great for soups or any leftovers that can be heated at my desk at work! No more waiting to use a microwave!
I've used mine for 3 days now, and I'm super happy. I transport my lunch from home in a locking lid container and just pour into the warmer when I get into my office. By the time I'm able to take a break and eat the food is super warm (burnt my tongue the first day). It holds two servings of soup. If you eat a large lunch you may need to bring a sandwich, but it is perfect for me. I'm giving these as gifts this year.
I ordered my lunch crock a few weeks ago and decided to try it out today at work. I plugged it in when I got to work and my lunch was hot and ready to eat at lunchtime. This is a huge blessing!! I stopped bringing my lunch to work because too many people were using the microwave and not cleaning up afterwards. Now I can bring my lunch and have it hot and ready without using the dirty microwave! I ordered 2 more as gifts for my daughter and son-in-law. I am sure that they will like the lunch crock as much as I do!
I used it for the first time yesterday and like most reviewers said the lid doesn't seal well. Before using the crockpot, the lid sealed perfectly fine and tight. But after one use, it's not as tight as before.
The heating and everything else went well, but I was pretty disappointed with the bad lid.
This compact sized crock pot is perfect for warming my lunch at work. The spill proof lid and carrying handle make it ideal to fill at home and carry to work. I am so happy to have found such a wonderful product to bring solace to my lunch time at work.
I work in a school, and microwaves at lunchtime are BUSY. I bought my crock after seeing a couple of my colleagues with one. It heats refrigerated food or canned soup in about 30-45 minutes. I put frozen meals in mine, and they are heated through in an hour and a half or so. I like the way it heats food vs. microwaving. It's been FANTASTIC! There have been reviews that complain that it doesn't cook food...it isn't supposed to. Other reviews complain that it doesn't heat food quickly. Duh. It's a crock pot. They're supposed to be slower than a microwave. The lit is an issue with the warping and inadequate seal. However, even when you use it for the first time, you can tell that you probably shouldn't slosh liquids around or turn the crock over/upside down by just looking at how the lid works. My lid warps, but it returns to its normal shape when it cools. Some people have had issues with wrapping the cord. You're not doing it correctly. Still other people have issues with the size being too small. It's not huge, but it holds enough for lunch. Since a few of us have been taking ours to work, now everybody (even the guys!) wants one!
