Don't leave inner lid on to warm food.

I just got this lunch Crockpot and read the instructions thoroughly so I could use it for many meals and years as I have with my full size Crockpots that I love. I expect great quality from this company. The instructions state you can leave the inner lid on to warm food. Then I looked at customer reviews. After reading MANY reviews that mentioned the lid not sealing tight after initial use of warming food and even one Crockpot employees response to this same customer concern that said they don't recommend heating food with this inner lid on, I decided to use the inner lid only for storage in the fridge and to transport. I removed it to warm my food and just used the outer lid. My food was ready after an hour and a half and maybe sooner. I did not put the inner lid back on until the metal insert was cooled after my meal. So far the inner lid still fits tight for taking anything with liquid. I hand wash the inner lid. The outer lid appears to work fine. Hopefully this solves their defective lid seal issue. I will update if this is not the case or if the outer lid has problems. It's not clear why Crockpot would continue to print directions that obviously ruin the effectiveness and use of its product. I should not have to read reviews to figure out their directions are wrong.

Bought this for my husband who is always on the road working. He has to eat out since he has no where to heat his food. This was a great way to take home cooking on the road.

I bought a Lunch Crock Pot last year for myself and liked it so well, I bought three more this year for Christmas gifts. Two of my daughter's co-workers were so impressed with her Lunch Crock-pot, that they each ordered one for themselves!

This was such a great invention. I love bringing soups to work for lunch, and this is just perfect. It really only takes about an hour to heat from refrigerated, and I don't have to worry about the uneven heating of a microwave. The only issue is that the lid of the removable container doesn't want to stay sealed. I understand that it's meant to release during cooking, but I'm referring to when it's in the fridge, or my bag on the way to work. Sometimes pressing down firmly in the middle makes it suction firmly enough, but not all the time. I have not done anything outside of the manual directions, so I'm not quite sure why this is happening. Regardless, I would definitely recommend the product.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to provide your feedback. We are very glad to hear you are getting good use out of your Lunch Crock®!
I just wanted to share a tip. If you bring rice in this container there is a strong chance it will stick to the metal bowl when you are warming up your food. To avoid this spray the sides of the bowl with a light coating of cooking spray.
