execution could be better

I will reorder to the original hyperdrive without the magnetic strip holder. It's not any more effective in holding onto the laptop with it and you cannot close the laptop without removing the hyperdrive.

This is a great device. I’m running 2 SSD and power with the same speed as hooked direct. Nice package of accessories with it. Looks fabulous.

Best Option for Slim Dock

This product is something I will always have on me, and for an added bonus has a single usb-c extension to plug into any device. I can now travel around with just my camera and iPad and complete my entire workflow. Amazing.

Excellent Product, fit my MacBook 16 like a glove and the magnetic grip does a great job keeping it in place with no wobblings like the previous generation of the product.

Does what it claims, but I learned I don’t like a side-mounting dock. Multiple cables cause torque that rocks the dock free of the MacBook.
Fine for a travel needs though.

Great idea, not a 100% fit though.

This is a great idea, highly capable. It does not quite fully accept all USB-C plugs, though, where the Macbook does. For instance, apple USB-C to USB-3 (standard) does not fully seat on the USB-C ports, neither will a magnetic USB-C 100W charging cable (see photos). The ports are also the same offsets as the Macbook so if you have problems fitting two very-large USB-C- adapters on the macbook, you will have the same problems with this. The ports seem to be nice and fast, the SDXC card slots work well, the magnetic mount-reinforcement is nice. I am looking forward to using the 60Hz 4K HDMI port.
