Don't buy.

1. Requires you relinquish use of standrd power input. 2. This then requires use of one of the two (only two) USB-C ports for power input. 3. Black magnetic strip does not fit 2023 MacBook Pro as the computer case is thicker than the strip allows. 4. This then requires using without that strip and it then does not fit snugly against the computer. When I first tried it, I had these problems and thought I would look at it later. It is later and I realized I wasted money on this. Too fe ports and bad design all around.

Thanks for the feedback—sorry to hear this didn’t meet your expectations.
The black magnetic strip is an optional alignment accessory and may not be compatible with all MacBook models or thicker cases, such as some 2023 MacBook Pro configurations. If it doesn’t fit, the hub can be used without it.
In those cases, the included USB-C cable is used to connect the hub directly to your MacBook for proper alignment and use.
The USB-C 40Gbps 100W PD (Thunderbolt 3 compatible) port is for pass-through charging, meaning your MacBook charger can be connected to the hub when you need to charge—there is no requirement to keep it connected at all times.
We appreciate your feedback on the design and port setup, and it’s been shared with our product team for review. If you would like to our team would be happy to assist you with locating a hub that may suit your needs. They can be reached at 844-674-6789 Monday thru Friday 10 AM to 7 PM EST.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great accessory for Mac laptops. Most organizations have an HDMI plug for presentations, and there are hubs for both USBC and USBA for power and different thumb drives. A must-have for making presentations and for personal use away from the office.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed to access external drives and controller keyboard for live performance on a MacBook Pro M2 and this hub made it possible. Efficient and sturdy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very effective mini-hub for my 2023 13" Macbook Pro. Downsides are, as others have noted: ethernet cable is VERY difficult to remove from the ethernet port, and the Macbook doesn't close completely with the hub attached. Otherwise works well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it to use external monitors and flash drives. The monitors flicker very few minutes, the drives disconnect. Very frustrating. The device doesn’t seem to set into the MacBook all that well.
