Sleek but not a tight fit.

Dock looks REALLY nice. When its connected it works well. My experience so far (3 days) is that when puling devices out such as USB A cables, the dock disconnects more frequently than other docks I've tested.
Also, I tried to use this docks 2 charging ports to simultaneously charge, and plug in a legacy thunderbolt 2 dock with a dongle. While my Mac didn't lose power, it also didn't charge further. Which was not an outcome I was expecting, and may be a useful heads up to people moving off thunderbolt 2.

great product , great design and finition, but ...
Both doesn't exactly fit with my IPAD PRO 2020 and my macbook pro, there's a little glitch of space between the hardware and the Hyperdrive, which makes it not really stable and could i think in the long run, hurt the usb-c port :(

Nice design and look. However, the magnetic grip may block the speaker a little bit and there is some space/gap between the hyperdrive and the MacBook without using the grip.

Device great, fit OK

Everything on the device itself works and feels well built, except the "magnetic" grip. It's a cheap piece of poorly molded plastic that, for all intents and purposes, is not magnetic. Its warped so it actually prevents a more secure connection and even if it wasn't warped, still doesn't fit the profile of the computer (2019 16" MBP). In a best case scenario, where it was magnetic and did actually fit, it still prevents the laptop from closing. I thought I would just take it off, but there is now a gap between the device and the macbook due to the elongated USB-c connectors.
I am making my own gasket to fit between the device and the computer, and will not be using the cheap "grip" at all.

The connection between the usb c ports and the dock is not secure at all. Would not recommend. Have submitted the feedback immediately once i have received the package. Please refer to attached video for reference.

I bought this hub to replace the first hub I bought for my new 13” 2020 MacBook Pro. The first hub suffered from three problems; overheating, terry inaccurate documentation, and difficulties getting all
But in short order, it became even hotter than the hub it replaced, and I am concerned about how this may affect the MacBook over time, especially because the HyperDrive is directly attached to the side of the MacBook versus the previous hub that had a short USB-C between it and the MacBook.
I have also discovered that the plastic guard that is designed to protect the MacBook from damage prevents the cover from being close; one of those great design ideas that wasn’t completely thought out but helps to raise the price of the product.
