Great solution to add Mini DisplayPort to a Macbook

If you have a MacBook with just one USB-C socket and a Mini DisplayPort connected screen (like the Apple LED Cinema Display), this is the perfect solution for you. It also offers me a USB-C port for power, two USB sockets, Ethernet and an SD Card Slot. And it has an HDMI socket if you ever need to replace your display. It is compact and connects via a cable for flexibility. Hyper are easy to deal with and ship internationally. All in all, Imam very happy!
I wasn't sure how I was going to connect my still-awesome Apple LED Cinema Display to my new MacBook Pro 16", but this product did the trick. It's actually quicker to connect my display to my computer now - instead of the usual three connections I had to plug in before (USB-A, Mini DisplayPort, and power), now I just have to plug in a single USB-C connector. Awesome!
USB-C PD doesn't work with Intel compute stick.

Bought this to add peripherals to an Intel compute stick and the USB-C power delivery doesn't work with compute stick. The hyper drive has to be connected to USB 3.0 port through an adapter and compute stick power directly to compute stick. I was hoping not to have to use the USB 3.0 port for this hub since the specs show it should be able to connect directly using USB-C all in one. The Ethernet connection is definitely nice to get me away from wireless for the compute stick.
The product does not get recognised on a brand new PC with windows 10. Support on the product is non existant, no drivers or anything which might help finding out why. A waste of money. This was my first and last product from Hyperdrive.
Nice design. Have to swap sides for different function on 16" MBP

I have found it only works for external monitors on the right hand side on my 2019 16" MacBook Pro. But if I plug in a USB mouse, it doesn't work until I switch it to the left hand side! So really can't function as a one-in-all device.
If anyone is wondering, if you plug in MiniDP and HDMI on one of these they work but same picture on both.
if you want 2 extended screens, don't get this

there's bad information here on the site that seems to suggest in a windows environment, you can make use of both the hdmi and the mini DP to get 2 extended displays (not mirrored) but in reality this is not possible. I've been trying to get to the bottom of it with Hyper's support but everytime I actually link them to the q&a page that states it works, that ends our email communications.. for the price, there's plenty of cheaper usb hubs that will give you 1 display plus the other ports you get with this unit. sucks because the only reason I paid the premium for this hub was for the 2 extended displays
