not enough power to keep my ipad pro from discharging, while using the ethernet port.

i got one a few years ago, for my iPad Pro 12.9” (2018). Good product, good build.. but the 60W through-put, isn’t enough to power the tablet, while using the HyperDrive with the ethernet cable plugged in, rendering the adapter a bit useless. The attached power chord is also a bit short, in length, which raises a few problems when using the iPad with its keyboard.. I like this brand.. but this product was not a good buy.
Has all the right plugs. But caution - speed limited.

I love that Hypershop still keeps making adapters that allow me to use my old Apple Cinema Display with my new Macs. For the multiple computers & locations I have, I've purchased many of them over the years. And I mostly love this one, too.
However, note: I just switched to Verizon FiOS, and was anxious to start using the Ethernet connection on this adapter to speed my video uploads to the cloud. After 2 days of debugging, I've come to realize that this adapter is speed-limited on TRANSMIT (from device to cloud) to ~325Mbps. I've tried 2 of these adapters on 3 different MacBook laptops - a 2017 Intel MacBook Pro, a 2022 M1 MacBook Air, and a 2023 M2 MacBook Pro. On each of these three laptops, using 2 different versions of this adapters, uploads to the cloud max out at that speed. (I've got software that proves it.)
So while not fatal, if Tx speed over Ethernet is important to you, realize that this will limit your Tx rate.
It's still a great hub, I still use 3 of them (one in each of 2 locations, plus a travel one). But when I need speed, I need to use a different USB-C <--> Ethernet dongle.
I tried two other USB-C hubs but they were made in a way that blocked the battery cord inlet to my computer, so if the hub was plugged in my computer couldn't be. This hub is smartly designed so when it's blocked in I still have access to all of my computer ports.
I'm now using 2 of these units on 2 of my Macs. I really love the options this one has and allows me to carry 1 piece instead of a number of adaptors. Great little product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sometimes will charge + support my external monitor, then at other times won't charge. Very frustrating. I've ended up keeping the charge coming in directly through to the macbook pro rather than via the hub.
