Hyper Hub 8 in 1 works as advertised

Plugged it in and it works like it should. Additional direct connect cord included in the box resolves any power issues to drive larger remote storage drives - a very good thing. Nice to have the flexibility of all of the slots. And I needed to talk to technical on one item and they answered my question promptly and correctly. I've come to greatly appreciate that from hardware providers. Thanks for having trained personnel.

Network switch stopped after disconnecting Macbook

It seems the power supplied to the hub affects the switch at the other end of the connected ethernet when connected to a network. Disconnecting the Macbook from the hub causes a power feedback through the ethernet port to the switch. This stops every device on the network from connecting to the network drive and internet.

The hyper drive for MacBook is in serious need of A piece of U channel to protect the male end of the usb c connection from being twisted off when using it unsupported on your lap.

Perfect for MacBook 12"

I have 2 of these for my 2017 MacBook 12", and it has everything I could want, which is great because this laptop only has one port.
One I leave hooked up to my desk peripherals, the other I carry with me. Only one plug required to go from portable to stationary.

The hub wirks great, but i am a bit disappointed by the build quality! It doesn’t feel very sturdy and is very light. For this price i expected a better enclosure.

Doesn't quite work properly

I may have a faulty unit as the HDMI port doesn't work (just displays a blank screen), and if I plug mains power into it, the unit gets very hot and makes a loud electrical noise. Based in the UK so it would cost me a lot in postage to return the unit for a replacement.

(Almost) Enough juice for my Mac

With this product I can use anything for my MacBook Pro. Well, almost. Since my Mac and this device doesn’t have a lightning connection. They only have an audio jack, so I can’t use my original headphones.
