I have been using SHUN Chef Knives (Ken Onion, Classic and recently Premier) for the past 4 years. This knife was in the display case of my local Knife store and I bought it to try. It instantly became my favorite for general work. It's weight is just a little more balanced than the Classic 8"" chef and feels more substantial. If you want a ""Starter"" Shun knife.. this is it.

I love my Shun knives, and this beauty is the love of my knife block. Beautiful, durable, and easy to keep razor sharp. I use it every day.
