I just purchased my 8"" chefs knife and I believe it to be the sharpest, most comfortable knife I have ever held in my hand.(and I have worked in the meat cutting industry for over two decades) If you can break this knife you need to take a basic knife skills class!

This is the best all around Kitchen Knife I ever had, not like any other. Razor-sharp blade and very comfortable tasteful handle. Simply excellent !

I was lucky enough to receive an 8" Classic knife for Christmas and I've been nothing but impressed. Not sure how some of these other reviewers managed to break a forged steel blade, but this is the best knife I've ever owned, and with proper maintenance I'm going to make sure it stays that way for a long time.
