Blade quality is disappointing

Very nicely weighted and good, comfortable handle. Good appearance on both the blade and handle as well. I am rather disappointed in the quality as it came from the manufacturer. For the price, I really expected a sharper, better performing knife.

Up to 3 Shun blades now and we both love them. They retain their sharpness and handle beautifully. Can't recommend them enough. Will be adding more as we go along to upgrade our full complement of knives to Shuns

Perfect for slicing through even the toughest of meats. I use this knife regularly and it does not require frequent sharpening, which is an issue I have with many similar brands.
