The size is perfect for my family and it cooks perfectly. I love that it comes with a thermometer, making it so easily to make sure the food is at the correct temperature.

Set it for your cooking time and after it’s done it automatically goes to warm. We will be using this for meals all winter long. I can’t wait to try out the sous vide feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sous vide slow cooker is a GAME CHANGER!!!!!! I absolutely love that it can be used as both sous vide AND a slow cooker (which I didn’t originally realize). At first the sous vide method was a bit intimidating, as I had never heard much about this method, but after the first use (I made steaks) I was 100000% sold !!! The steaks were beyond soft- cut with a butter knife and the flavor was amazing!!!! The second thing I made were boneless chicken breasts, and once I had taken them out of the sous vide bag to sear- I had my doubts because they didn’t look the prettiest and I hadn’t thought to filet the breasts prior to cooking them sous vide. But after they were seared they looked MUCH more appetizing and when cutting into them they were SO JUICY!!!!! Just absolute perfection for chicken!!! I don’t think I will ever make chicken another way!!! I had followed the recipes that came with the cooker and it called for such minimal ingredients that I had everything in my fridge. The prep time is also very short which is another amazing plus!
The shape of the crockpot is a little wider (oval like) than previous ones I have owned which is awesome because it allows for larger things to be placed within it. It also allows for larger portions to be made easier and cook more evenly. I also love that the temperature probe is multi use for both checking the temperature of the food and for the sous vide function. Even better is that the cookware insert and glass lid are dishwasher safe.
The functions and options are simple to use and the cook time capabilities range from 30 minutes to 20 hours!!!!
The downfall is that on the first attempt I had placed just very hot water in the cooker and it took at least 30 minutes to heat to the appropriate temperature. Thankfully the “timer” doesn’t start until the water is at the appropriate temperature so you don’t have to reset the timer multiple times or anything. The second time I used it, I decided to heat water on the stovetop and then transfer it into the cooker and this approach was MUCH faster (I highly recommend doing this first).
Another downfall is that for the sous vide- all the recipes pretty much call for the same amount of time… so it’s a little trial and error as to the degree of cook (for example the steaks I made, I had wanted them medium rare, but after cooking for 1.5 hours and searing them for 1 minute each side- they ended up being well done).

I was really impressed by how the new electronic features facilitate cooking of items and even liked the color of the unit. A crockpot that stands above the other brands out there from the current and past.

It comes with the bags for the sous vide mode included. And to have two cooking instruments in one is a bonus. And tge sous vide makes the food so tender and delicious

My favorite feature is the lid insert thermometer and the fact that it makes perfect corn on the cob. Not only will it slow cook food as any cooker this one will make sous type food. Just put your items in a resealable bag, remove the air and it's a whole new level of cooking! Well made, sturdy and easy clean up. It's like adding zing to your favorite meal!
