Good for infusing herbs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main reason I got this product was to replace the method I was using to infuse herbs into my oils. I had a stick Sous vide and I woud have to pull out a large pot and fill it full of water so the stick would work. There were several issues with this setup but it worked.
When I saw a slow cooker with a sous vide it was perfect for my needs. I put my infusions in a mason jar. Then I fill the ceramic part of the slow cooker with water. Put it on the heating base and put the mason jar in it. The lid has clips so you shouldn’t have boil overs. You put the heating probe into the front panel and then the port in the lid. Press on Sous Vide mode and put your time and temp requirements. Press start and forget about it.
For a slow cooker it works and it is large. My only major complaint with this appliance is that the power cord is only about 3 feet long. There is only one place in the kitchen I can put it where it doesn’t require an extension cord or a platform for me to put it on so it can reach the electrical outlet.

Life can carry on and dinner will be done at the end. I can use this everyday of my life sometimes for more than one meal a day

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This slow cooker + sous vide has changed our home kitchen! Having the dual function has allowed us to cook two of our favorite ways. Not to mention, the actual interface is so much better than most slow cookers. The timer feature is clutch, especially when you have multiple other timers going on. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a slow cooker or something more.

I plan to use it more often now that it’s getting colder outside . I’ll planning on making some chilli next. For me I wound say the 6qt was perfect as I don’t cook for a family only my self. I would definitely recommend this slow cooker .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never heard of sous vide slow cooking before so I thought that this would be something different to try. Well, it certainly is! Different and delicious! I feel like I'm cooking the old boil in the bag meals only way better. It's like you can't cook it wrong. The only thing is that if you want a sear or crust on your protein, you need to do that in a pan afterwards.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the colder months upon us, I tend to make more soups and stews. I am so excited to have found the Slow Cooker Souse Vide Om. It is perfect for making great meals in a very easy format. I just cut up the ingredients stick them in the slow cooker and turn it on. The cooker does the rest of the work! I have tried a few of my favorite recipes with the slow cooker and my family loves them!
