You can forget they are on ...

I bought the open version to avoid having something in ears all the time. Used these for about 20 days and they worked well. I sometime forgot I had them on my ear.
After a week they have started dying while playing music as quickly as 2 hours.

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how important long‑lasting battery life and powerful sound are for your everyday listening experience, and we’d love to assist you in getting the best performance from your Bose Ultra Open Earbuds.
The Ultra Open Earbuds are designed to deliver up to 7 hours of playtime with Immersive Audio off, 4 hours with Immersive Audio on, and 3 hours when both Immersive Audio and Auto Volume are enabled. With a fully charged case, you can enjoy up to 19.5 hours of listening. Fast battery drain can sometimes occur if the earbuds are not fully charging in the case due to fit or alignment, or depending on the type of audio being played.
If you believe that the battery charge level drains at a faster rate than expected, we recommend checking our online support guide, which provides tips to improve charging and battery performance. You can view the guide here: https://bose.life/3Pz2IPZ
By following these steps, you’ll be able to enjoy longer playtime along with the high‑quality audio experience Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are designed to deliver.
I purchased my Bose open earbuds about a month ago and the experience is an overall disappointment.
On the plus side, the sound quality is great, particularly when listening to music
Also positive is that they are extremely comfortable to wear even if they are a bit clumsy to put on and situate correctly.
On the down side 1) the microphone is very poor and every ambient sound affects it. People cannot hear me much of the time or it fades in and out. I have to be completely stationary in a quiet room for them to work. I mostly have to switch to my speaker on the phone. I would not have purchased these had I known it would be this bad
2) a charge does not last the whole day. They quit about 9 hours into the day.
Those are the primary things and they are truly annoying. I cannot recommend the product except to listen to podcasts and music.

Thank you again for your feedback, we truly value it.
When I bought the Ultra Earbuds from Bose, I was a little apprehensive about the sound quality. Being open the way they are I thought it would make the sound less clear than my quiet comfort buds. Bose came through again with fantastic sound in a very comfortable fit.
I have had these for almost a month, absolutely love them. These are some of the best EarPods for music that I’ve ever had and I love being able to switch over so easy to answer my cell phone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought more than six Bose headphones and earbuds And given to my family members and their are very satisfied with it they love them
I wanted to use these while at work, I work in an office- 8 hours a day. I have sensitive ears and have found while at first the pressure is not noticeable, after extended use I do feel the pressure on my ears and have to take them off before the end of my work day of 8 hours. I found it slightly awkward to answer my physical work phone with them in my ears- they made 'clicking' noises when I moved the phone around. The metal/plastic of the earbuds touching the plastic of the phone. When I paused what I was listening to, to speak to someone or to answer my work phone, if it was a time more than I think two minutes, I would click the button and it would not return to what I was listening to. I would have to go to my phone to un-pause it, and then it would return. The sound quality is great- indoors and outdoors. I go on daily walks and found it very pleasant to listen to. I realize many of the things I bring up are more of my preference, but thought I should bring up. I still believe them to be a quality product.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and balanced review, We’re glad to hear that the sound quality indoors and outdoors met your expectations, especially during your daily walks. That’s exactly the kind of versatility these earbuds are designed for. Your point about the earbuds making clicking noises against a work phone and the need to manually un-pause after a couple of minutes is especially useful. To help you with the Ultra Open Earbuds here is a helpful guide and a link for the connection of your Earbuds:
If you have sensitive ears, try adjusting the earbuds slightly higher or lower on the outer ear rather than letting them rest in the same spot all day. Small repositioning every couple of hours can reduce pressure buildup. You might also consider short listening breaks (5–10 minutes) during your workday to relieve ear fatigue without losing productivity.

We’re grateful that despite these challenges, you still consider them a quality product. Feedback like yours helps us refine future designs and features to better serve both casual and professional listeners.
The idea and the functionality of the earbuds are really good. The sound and how they describe interactions is right on the point. The only issue I have is with the thickness of the wraparound below your ear. Since I have a little bit larger ear than normal, it didn’t fit me properly, which caused issues with the performance. I still recommend them for everyone and it’s a great product.
