I’m a big fan of Bose products, and thought this would be a good addition to my collection. Unfortunately, I was not totally pleased with this product.
Issue # 1: The earbuds are difficult to get in the same place on each ear. Unlike in ear buds, there are several places along the side of the ear where you can put them. But, for esthetic purposes you want them even. It isn’t easy to get them even.
Issue # 2: To allow for hearing environmental sounds, the earbuds have been designed to sit a distance from the ear canal. Unfortunately, this distance is a hard trip for the high frequencies, and the sound is dominated by the bass.
Issue # 3: The spring on the earbuds is strong, too strong for my comfort. After about 30 minutes, I have to take them off.
The concept is good, but this Bose product needs some more work.

Hi there,
It is great that you like the earbuds as a concept, and I understand that you aren't 100% sold on them.
The earbuds don't have to be worn exactly evenly on both ears, though there are a few things we recommend to make sure they are worn correctly. Make sure that you've got the button facing up on the earbuds, and that the button barrel is behind the ear. We have a guide https://support.bose.com/s/display-articles?productId=01t8c00000OlcI5AAJ&articleId=ka08c000001brKkAAI&language=en_US that can help with making sure you have the right fit.
I'd also recommend checking the audio/EQ settings within the Bose app, as you can change the treble and bass of the earbuds. This way you can lower the bass of the earbuds if you're finding it more than you like. The audio/EQ settings can be found on the main page of the earbuds when within the Bose App.
We'd love to help if you with the fit and adjusting the settings, and would ask you to contact us https://bose.life/contact for support.
Bose never disappoints and sure didn’t with these. The sound quality, app features, and comfort make these well worth the price. I’m new to the open ear concept and took some getting used to, but the immersive feature is incredible. You won’t be sorry I promise.
Product is amazing to listen to music with, but horrible on phone calls. Sounds like you're inside a tunnel.

Hello Andy, I'm glad you like listening to music on your Ultra Open Earbuds! If you're having trouble on phone calls, try installing firmware update 4.0.22 (or later), which was released to bring enhancements to your far-end call performance via improved voice pickup.
If issues continue, please reach out to us via the options here: https://support.bose.com/s/get-help-landing-page?language=en_US. We'd love to help.
I bought them a couple of weeks ago, but I’m having trouble with my earbud for my right ear sometimes there is static or no sound at all. My earbuds are up to date. So I’m not sure why the one earbud is not working properly. For the amount of money I spent on these earbuds I would think there would be no issues with them.
