Bought this as a replacement workbag (it stuff) and as a carry-on vacation bag. Extremely happy with the ways you can open and organise everyrhing! Well though-out and good built quality.

Excellent quality backpack with great design

I use the Travel Backpack 45 as Weekender and short term travel backpack. It is super durable and comftiy to wear. It survived a robbery attempt, where they tried to cut through it, but without a chance and only a little scratch was left.
Additionally the peak design support/warranty is fabulous - never experienced a similar service before.
Love it.

Not a more suiting name than Peak Design

Every time I dig into the details of this bag, I discover something new. As a designer, I appreciate how much time, effort, and care went into designing this bag. The details were obsessed over. I bought mini clips for the zippers to make them more difficult to open without adding an additional lock, only to find out PD had already thought of that and built in ways to make that happen. I couldn't figure out how to keep my monopod for tilting or maybe falling out of the water bottle pocket only to learn that PD thought of that too with the added straps and tie points for them. Honestly, I'm just so incredibly impressed by the design of this bag. Kudos!

Excellent Attention to Detail

Details are well thought out. Lots of little pockets for organization. Large backpack but can collapse to a smaller size easily. It is a little heavy but waist strap greatly helps reduce the load on the shoulders.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought the pack a month ago, in anticpation of travelling next year. I have tried it out on several trips since the and am amazed by how well constructed and thought out the backpack is. No problem getting it on to my flights (British Airways). All in all a wonderful piece of kit, that has now become my go to pack for weekend and longer term travel.

This backpack is truly amazing and it's my absolute go to travel bag. Yes, it may be expensive but it's absolutely worth it if you plan to use this bag frequently. The amount of space is fantastic, the pockets are large, and the material is quality. I've packed for domestic and international trips exceeding 5 days without having to take a check in bag. I've used it to travel to Hawaii, Boston, California, and London for 3-7 days. Combine this bag with a space bag for your clothes and you can easily fit 7+ days worth of clothes for a trip in here. The only thing I will say is it's a heavy backpack when empty compared to others. I think it's about 5lbs empty. I'm a big person so it's not a problem though. Plus the waist harness and chest strap help mitigate that weight if you pack a lot.

Good quality bag but too heavy

The backpack is solid, but the weight seems excessive at 2 kg+. Most flights only allow 7kg for the carry-on bag, therefore are not many lenses and cameras to be able to carry on board. A medium size camera pouch full of gears is almost 5kg+, so there is 1/3 of the bag space that is go to waste. I suggest using some lightweight material to keep it around 1.5kg then it will be better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is an outstanding backpack, that looks stylist but more importantly functional. there is a large number of innovative features, such as pack away straps and I particularly like the rear entry clam shell design
