I bought the Travel Backpack, in black, to carry my mirrorless camera gear, which it does very well. But I came to appreciate just how versatile it is, and how well it lives up to its name, when I recently needed to pack for a five day Europe trip with limited stowage, to contest a classic car rally. Staying in big hotels meant rooms a long way from the desk, so a backpack would be useful. Limited time out of the car meant organising everything to minimise time spent changing etc. Step forward, a large and a small packing cube, which held, respectively, shirts, tops and trousers, and smalls, socks and handkerchiefs, for all six days. You only appreciate how good these are when you realise they keep all your dirty linen separate and come up the same size as you started with, making repacking each morning a dream..The bag lived in a dirty boot, so the rain fly became a dust cover. Nothing broke, jammed or caused a second of delay. In a word, perfect. Back home, a camera bag again in two minutes. We have another trip this week and this is now my go to bag. Time to get a wash pouch too...
I have the everyday backpack for my camera stuff and love it. I had a disaster with another (who will not be named) manufacturer's bag for my work use, so then took the plunge and ordered this, a tech, packing cubes and just to cap it off the medium camera cube. It is so versatile for everyday use, but for a short travel with the cubes, or if I refashion it I can get all my camera stuff in it for a big shoot. It is great quality. And to get away from the blacks and charcoal, I went all Sage this time and it is growing on me! Really recommend this: it will last for ages.
Altamente consigliato
Initially I used this everyday when bicycling between my work and my home. Yes, it's too big for that but it worked.
Now I'm on a 14 day train trip across Europe and this bag just delivers every single day. All the details and things you initially found a bit exaggerated finds its place. It is so smart and comfortable. Combined with the packing cubes and the 5L sling for day trips this is a setup I can't recommend enough.
The bag is enormous and can fit a lot of stuffs into one single space. With a lot of pockets, the small accessories can be fitted in each of its own pocket. With the perfect size to carry on the plane and its great security, I feel so confidence to fill in the valuable stuff in this bag.
I've eye on this bag since kickstarter campaign. At that time I try many bag as camera bag and everyday bag. I cann't find the needed one. Some good as camera bag on the other hand some is good as everyday bag. First time I saw Travel line, I fall in love with this perfect bag. It's function is very flexible as camera bag and everyday bag also the traveler bag as it is. after I see the kickstarter project of travel line, I commit myself to own this bag and since then I didn't eye on any other bag. Today I own this bag and It's perfect as I expect. Not only the function but also the material is as best as I expect. Love this bag so much
I had eyes on this backpack since the Kickstarter campaign, but never really took the step to get it. Then I got myself a PD Leash and was impressed by the quality of materials, so I decided to give the backpack a shot, since I was sick of carrying my 55L duffel. Man was I impressed by the materials, build quality and modularity of the bag. It's a little big for day to day use, but for that I have a ThinkTank bag.. Since then, I got addicted to the PD quality and ordered a medium packing cube, 5L sling, tech pouch and now considering a wash pouch. PD is a little bit on the expensive side, but the quality of their products is amazing. As for the backpack, I absolutely love it. Tomorrow is my first trip with it, I've packed it with 5 days worth of clothes, laptop, wash pouch, tech pouch and I still have room for more. Gonna give it a more hard-core test later this year when I travel to Greece.
I bought this bag for a short trip to South America. The pack was roomy and I got everything in, plus some additional items I purchased on the road. I loved the different pockets, the security features and all the positive aspects that were mentioned before. However, with a bag filled to capacity it became quite uncomfortable to wear. The shoulder straps were just ok, could use some more padding, but the hip belt never fit properly. I tried to adjust it several times, but it never supported the weight adequately. The belt closure mechanism was also cumbersome. That made the entire bag rather uncomfortable to wear. So here is my take so far: Great bag if it doesn't need to be carried on your shoulders for a long time. Its definitely not a bag to hike endlessly through a city to a hotel.
