it's been a good chair but after just over a year the gas cylinder is going bad. throughout the day the chair gets lower and lower

Last week I went to Staples to find an office desk chair. They have a wide selection of chairs to choose from. I sat in all of them for comfort lumbar support and adjustability. I found the one that fit all of my requirements.

I ordered this for a new co-worker and am a little jealous! If you are a taller person this is a great chair as it sits high. I'm 5'5" and if I sit back all the way my feet dangle. I think it can be raised even higher. The head rest is comfortable too and can be removed if you don't like it. Feels sturdy too.

better for a smaller person

It seems like a well-made chair but it was too small for me at 6'. The seat pan is not very long and the headrest was too low. I like that the armrests are narrow at 18" but the chair didn't fit and the seat pan headrests and arms are not very adjustable.
