Assembly is straightforward construction appears acceptable but not exceptional. I have only had it for a few weeks so no information on longevity. The mesh material is very rough to the touch which makes it uncomfortable if you have exposed skin (like wearing shorts). The major problem with this chair is it is it fits only a certain body type. At 6'4" the headrest landed solidly into the top of my shoulders at the highest possible setting. I've removed the headrest and the chair works OK as a mid-height chair with the top of the chair resting on the bottom inch of my shoulder blades. The arm rests are also rather narrow and brush my hips as I get in and out (at the maximum width setting). not enough to cause discomfort or difficulty but if I had more heft I would not fit. My wife is the opposite at barely over 5' she could not sit comfortably due to the depth of the seat and the lowest setting. I'm sure there is someone who this chair fits but it is not us.
It’s better than what I had but nothing like the chair at work. I should have spent more money on a chair. But who knew we’d be working from home this long
I've had this chair for 2 years. I waited before writing a review (I was not have a Staples rewards member at the time). I use this chair daily. I'm mainly a gamer but also do a bit of vlogging so a comfy chair is something I require. This chair fits the bill. I went into Staples to check to what chairs were comfy as I was using a stool prior. I found this one to do the trick. Let me preface the review: I'm 5'3 and 125 pounds. Assembly was easy took about 25 to 30 minutes. Naturally it wasn't as comfy as the chair in the display but it took about a month and change to break in. The chair is comfortable to sit in for extended periods. The mesh makes it breathable. The lumbar support is good. Armrests are adjustable up and down but are not adjustable left and right. The chair leans back about 30 degrees or so. The chair is also pretty durable. I've used it for LAN parties moved it around my apartment often and it has held up. They hydraulics in it work fine the chair hasn't sunk yet. Added bonus is that my cat uses it as a scratching post. Even though I try to get him off it it has held up over the 2 years without fraying. This is a testament of how durable the mesh is. However this isn't without it's flaw. My friend who's 6'1" doesn't like it as he's too tall. Please be aware this is for average sized people not tall people! Chairs are made for different sizes this is made for average size people! TLDR: Great chair held up for 2 years and going survived cat scratching it. DO NOT GET IF you're tall!
