I had no difficulty assembling the Hyken Mesh Task Chair. I must say it fills the bill perfectly. I will use it for home computer work and gaming. It is comfortable functional and stable. I could not ask for more. If you are 5'11" or more you might want to invert or "flip" the U-shaped section of the headrest before you put it on the chair. There are YouTube videos to show how to do it. I'm about 5'10" and the headrest is just the right height for me. And the lumbar support is just right for me too. You just can't beat the price for this wonderful chair. Cheers.
I concur with reviews I saw for this chair before I bought it: it is fantastic for short people such as myself. The mesh is cool and comfortable with the perfect amount of give. The chair adjustments are numerous. I especially appreciate having the lower tilt-tension (to stretch out easily) as well as adjustable lower back support. I like raising it to max height (I'm short-waisted) in which the armrests in lowest position still ride above the desk to turn freely. The specs were accurate so measure your space dimensions to make sure it fits what you need. I did not install the headrest (prefer without it - could always add it later.) Definitely recommend assembling the chair back in the farthest position for the deepest seat depth. Any less would have been too shallow even for a shortie. Fantastic comfortable chair to work hours at a time for the shortest among us. Highly recommend!
The chair feels great to sit in. The lumbar support feels much better than what I was using and for the price the chair is definitely reasonable. Unfortunately the bottom part of the chair was shipped to me with scuff marks all over it the head rest is made for people who are about 5'2" so I had to remove it and the wheels do not have locking mechanisms so I am unable to stay put at my desk.
I really don't understand all the good reviews for this chair. I tried it out in the store and was a little iffy on it but figured I would give it a try since it has so many great reviews. The mesh is really plasticy-y and feels gross on my skin the seat is uncomfortable and the head rest is way too short. I am 5'8" and the head rest hits at the top of my shoulders and pushes them down and forward. It's adjustable but still didn't work for me. I removed the head rest but all the other negatives made it not worth keeping it. Luckily it is easy to assemble and disassemble. It is packed back into the box waiting to be returned.
For someone 5'3" it's difficult to find a chair that "fits". Like Goldilocks in the 3 bears story many chairs are too hard or too soft but this chair is just right. The seat is just right so my feet rwach the floor. The mesh is supportive yet gives to adjust to my every move. The lumbar support makes all the difference when sitting for long periods of time. Highly recommend - I bought two!!
