It's a great chair for the price but I had to completely rip away the sponge they put on the edge of the seat. It hurts the thighs after just 10 minutes. It was easy to remove; now it's MUCH better. I'd also prefer the seat to be a big longer and wider (I'm an average size) but it's still very comfortable. I like the back support. Plenty of tilt adjustment mechanisms. I wish we could adjust the depth of the head rest. It keeps the neck a bit too forward while leaning way back.
The chair has excellent back support and is more comfortable overall than my old leather chair (very old). The chair suffered some shipping damage to the cover of the back support. However when I contacted Staples via chat I was refunded about 10% of the cost. The broken piece was in the packing materials and I super glued it in place. This does not affect the operation of the chair. Overall I am very pleased.
I previously owned a Hyken Mesh Task Chair and the after 5 or so years the tilt lock bolt broke. So I was thinking about buying a Herman Miller Aeron but in the interim I needed an new chair so I just went to old faithful. I decided not to use the headrest this time as it's a bit more comfortable with out it.
The color of this chair is a beautiful deep red. I wasn't sure about the mesh at first because I have never had a chair with a mesh seat but it really is quite comfortable to sit in all day long. Other chairs I always have to move around it and sit differently. This one holds me well and still has flex so it doesn't feel like you're sitting on a rigid surface the whole time.
